Chief Judge Rader Stepping Down

Chief Judge Randall Rader announced that he will be stepping down from his position as chief judge of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, effective May 30, 2014. Judge Sharon Prost will succeed Judge Rader as chief judge. Judge Rader, who leaves the position with three years remaining in his seven-year term as chief judge, will remain in active service to the Court.

Mr. Traina holds bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Computer Science and earned his law degree at Nova Southeastern University. As a Registered Patent Attorney, he concentrates his practice in Patent Prosecution and Intellectual Property Litigation. Mr. Traina has also guest lectured on a variety of Intellectual Property topics for law students, paralegals and undergraduate engineering courses. Mr. Traina is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Association of Florida, and the American Bar Association.
