Firm Associate, Mary Beth Hasty, to Join U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

 

The Firm congratulates Associate, Mary Beth Hasty, for her recent selection to join the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) as an Attorney Advisor (Trademarks). Pursuant to federal government ethics rules, Ms. Hasty is withdrawing as Attorney of Record from all Firm matters, and once appointed, will be recused from any matter represented by the Firm.

 

The USPTO is lucky to have her.  Ms. Hasty started her legal career at Malloy & Malloy, P.L., and demonstrated great knowledge and skill in the areas of Trademark Prosecution and Disputes/Litigation.  She is expected to take the Oath of Office in October 2020.

This Year’s Recipient of the John Cyril Malloy Intellectual Property Law Endowed Memorial Scholarship

The Firm is pleased to announce the selection of this year’s recipient of the “John Cyril Malloy Intellectual Property Law Endowed Memorial Scholarship” for an outstanding student, Jacob Stemer, at the University of Miami School of Law. With an undergraduate degree in physics, Mr. Stemer has already become a Registered Patent Agent and obtained experience in the Patent field.
