On September 22, 2025, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) welcomed its new Director, John A. Squires. As the nation’s chief intellectual property executive, Mr. Squires will be responsible for overseeing the USPTO as well as advising the President of United States and the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on matters pertaining to the country’s intellectual property policy, innovation, and related items.
